    Samsung Medison HS60

    The Samsung HS60 ultrasound system delivers outstanding image clarity in a variety of settings. Compatible with a variety of probes, the HS60 can be used for advanced abdominal, small parts and cardiovascular imaging.

    The HS60 was designed with the latest in powerful imaging technology, including ElastoScan for improved elastography, Auto IMT for accurate vascular IMT scanning and S-Flow, a powerful color Doppler technology which can help detect even the smallest blood vessels.

    Utilizing single crystal technology, the HS60 incorporates S-Vue transducers for wider bandwidth imaging, delivering increased penetration and higher resolution in even the most challenging situations. The system also includes ClearVision, which reduces noise artifacts and improves edge enhancement for even sharper 2D images.

    The Samsung HS60 is a high-end multi-purpose diagnostic ultrasound system designed to cover a wide range of applications including obstetrics, abdominal, gynecology, pediatric, small organs, neonatal cephalic, adult cephalic, trans-rectal, trans-vaginal, MSK(conventional, superficial), urology, adult cardiac, pediatric cardiac, and peripheral vessel.

    The Samsung HS60 integrates a 128-channel S-Vision Imaging Engine from the HS70A which provides support for a number of high-performance hardware such as a 21.5” LED monitor, a fully customizable 10.1” LED touchscreen, 4 active probe ports, 4 premium single crystal transducers (CA1-7ADm, CA2-9AD, PA1-5A, CV1-8AD), and 5 advanced linear array transducers (LA3-14AD, LA3-16A, LA2-9A, LA4-18BD, LA3-16AI). These transducers effectively cover all requirements from General Imaging applications.

    Realistic Vue is Samsung’s leading 3D/4D technology on the market and is an outstanding fetal-maternal bonding tool similar to GE’s HDlive. The HS60 also supports the unique and automated 5D NT and 5D Follicle features along with XI STIC and 3D XI. These technologies will help enhance the physician’s diagnostic confidence during pre-gestation and pregnancy stages.

    On the other hand, the cardiovascular options of the Samsung HS60 are limited since those weren’t the target market. However, its strong transducer lineup and General Imaging features such as Elastoscan, E-Strain, Panoramic, Needle Mate , and CEUS allow for more in-depth studies.

    Samsung HS60 FAQs:

    The noise reduction filter improves edge enhancement and creates sharper 2D images in order to deliver optimal diagnostic performance. The integration of a technologically advanced Samsung product brings about a notable improvement in the quality of images. In addition, ClearVision provides application – specified optimization and advanced temporal resolution in live scan mode.

    The ordinary harmonic technology is able to provide greater image clarity from near to midfield, while also reducing signal noise. Combined with S-Vue transducers and S-Vision imaging engine, the S-Harmonic overcomes the technology limitation of the ordinary Harmonic technology and improves the quality of the image from near to far-field.

    This is a diagnostic ultrasound technique that is able to display elasticity by converting the stiffness into color images while detecting the presence of solid masses in tissues.

    Auto IMT
    Auto IMT is a screening tool that is able to analyze a patient’s potential risk of cardiovascular disease. It allows easy measurements for intima-media thickness of both the anterior and posterior wall of the common carotid by one click. This simple procedure enhances exam productivity and adds diagnostic value.

    E-Strain is designed to provide quick and easy calculations of the strain ratio between two regions of interest for day-to-day practice. By setting the two targets, you can receive accurate, consistent results and make informed decisions in many types of diagnostic procedures such as breast, prostate, or gynecological examinations.

    Retaining an innovative single crystal design, S-Vue™ transducers provide more efficient piezoelectric properties. This results in wider bandwidths that enable better penetration and higher quality resolution on even challenging patients.

    Quick Preset 
    With one touch, the Quick Preset shows the four most commonly used transducers with each combined preset. The Quick Preset provides maximum efficiency by changing the transducer and preset, and by reducing unnecessarily repeated keystrokes.

    5D NT™
    The 5D NT™ is an automated 3D measurement function that allows the user to obtain the true mid-sagittal plane automatically. This can happen by rotating and auto-zooming the 3D volume image in order for the operator to obtain the accurate NT measurement. 5D NT™ can lower the operator dependency and increase reproducibility.

    Realistic Vue™
    The Realistic Vue™ is the same feature as the GE HDlive, which provides the user with a movable light source and with calculations of the propagation of light through the skin and tissue. The user can freely position the light at any angle, relative to the ultrasound volume images that illuminate areas of interest. The Realistic Vue™ helps increase depth perception, reveal hidden details, and provide a deeper understanding of relational anatomy.

    Wide angle endocavity transducer
    The wide-angle endocavity transducer (E3-12A) offers a 210-degree field-of-view, which allows greater visualization of the pelvic anatomy. It is possible to visualize the entire cervix and uterus through normal anatomy as well as viewing from a left-right symmetry in the transverse plane.

    Strain is a quantitative tool for the global and segmental wall motion of the left ventricle (LV). In Strain , three standard LV views and a Bull’s Eye are displayed in a Quad screen for an easy and quick assessment of the LV-function.
